Therese Mungah Shalo Tchombe, Emeritus Professor and Honorary Dean at the Faculty of Education, University of Buea, is the Director of the Research Centre for Child and Family Development and Education (CRCFDE) in Limbe. She has been engaged in research with different International and National organisations. In 1996, she was a co-consultant for the World Bank Project on Models of Teacher Education in Cameroon. Following from the above, she consulted for African Development Bank (Deskwork, preparatory and appraisal mission, and evaluation mission in Abidjan, Tanzania and Zanzibar ,2001-2002).
In January/ March 2000, she also consulted for African Development Bank’s preparatory and Appraisal Mission to the Gambia Education III Project. She equally consulted for the following; Sight Savers International Cameroon on Inclusive education; Teacher’s Task Force in Paris, for transnational research on Institutional preparedness for Inclusion education in Five African Countries (2012-2013); Commonwealth on Gender in Secondary School Classroom practices in Cameroon (2013-2014); World bank and the Cameroon Government’s funded project on Inclusive Education (2016-2018), on Rethinking Education in Africa UNESCO BREDA/ COSDERA project and Harnessing Cultures to Advance Education in Sub Saharan Africa UNESCO BREDA, 2017-2019.
Recently, she consulted for the World Bank Project on Norms and Standards for the Creation of Community Preschool in Cameroon. She has served as consultant for different projects in Education, Health and Psychosocial supports with UNESCO, UNICEF, World Bank, WHO, TEACHER TASKFORCE, African Development Bank, Plan International and Sight
